Toronto plans to construct six new homeless shelters within the coming years, metropolis officers introduced Wednesday, hours earlier than warming centres had been set to open to assist susceptible individuals get indoors earlier than temperatures plunge.

“Homelessness is skilled in all components of town and these websites replicate that we’re trying in each ward of this metropolis for these vital providers,” he stated.
