The Particular Investigations Unit (SIU) is charging a Toronto police officer after he struck a wished man together with his unmarked cruiser in Whitby.
They are saying on June 25, 2024, officers had been on the lookout for a person in Whitby. Once they discovered him he was driving a scooter.
The SIU say an officer driving an unmarked cruiser collided with the scooter within the parking zone of the Canadian Tire on Backyard Road.
One of many two riders on the scooter was critically harm and was taken to hospital.
On account of the investigation the SIU is charging Detective Constable Joshua Baksh with harmful driving and assault with a weapon.
