Ontario Premier Doug Ford was unhurt after an OPP automobile he was travelling in was concerned in a collision on Freeway 401 earlier at present.
OPP Sgt. Kerry Schmidt confirmed to Ontario Chronicle Toronto that the collision in query occurred at round 12:40 p.m. within the westbound lanes of Freeway 401 at Brock Highway in Pickering.
Talking to reporters at Queen’s Park, Ford mentioned that the automobile he was travelling in was “sideswiped” after leaving the Darlington Nuclear Producing Station the place he had held a press convention to pitch a brand new power partnership with the U.S.
“Oh yeah, we were leaving OPG, driving down the road on the highway and the next thing you know, out of nowhere, the car got sideswiped and that is all I can say,” he mentioned.
“But we were just driving straight and next thing we know we got hammered, just hammered. I am OK, this head is like limestone. It is as hard as a rock.”
Ford went on to say the motive force that struck the automobile he was travelling in “ended up on the other side of the highway.”
“It was bad. I just pray he was OK,” he mentioned.
A spokesperson for Ford’s workplace has mentioned that the premier and the employees and OPP officers who have been travelling within the automobile with him have been all unhurt.
The spokesperson mentioned that the motive force of the opposite automobile is believed to have sustained non-life-threatening accidents.
