WHAT: Because of the severe weather conditions anticipated and to ensure the safety of our fans and players, the Maple Leafs Outdoor Practice weekend, which was set for Saturday, January 24 to Monday, January 26 at the Westway Outdoor Rink, has been cancelled. Instead, the team will host an Open Practice presented by Sport Chek at Mattamy Athletic Centre at Maple Leaf Gardens on Monday.
This will be just the third time since 1999 that the Maple Leafs have held an event at Maple Leaf Gardens, where they played for 68 seasons. The Gardens also holds a special place as the first venue in Toronto to regularly feature world-championship-caliber pro wrestling. Fans attending will get a chance to connect with this history as WWE Superstars support Maple Leafs players in a 3-on-3 tournament.
Fans can register on Friday, January 23 from 10 a. m. to 10 p. m. ET through Fan Access on the Maple Leafs App for a chance to win free general admission passes. With limited capacity available, winners will be drawn and notified by end of day on Friday. Leafs Nation can also catch all the action via an exclusive live stream hosted on Maple Leafs social media channels.
