A 22-year-old is going through greater than a dozen charges after a girl claims she was pressured into the {sex} commerce in Toronto.
Toronto police say a girl met a person after she moved to Ontario and thru a “combination of deception, coercion and physical violence” she was {sex} trafficked for nearly 5 months.
“The money earned throughout the trafficking period was turned over to the accused,” police stated in a launch on Sunday.
Following an investigation by the Human Trafficking Unit, a 22-year-old man was arrested within the space of Victoria Park Avenue and Danforth Avenue on Nov. 10.
Leighton Eager Junior Whitfield – who additionally goes by the alias “2C” – is going through 5 charges associated to {sex} trafficking together with 4 counts of assault, two counts of assault by choking, assault with a weapon, and uttering threats inflicting bodily hurt.
