Household determine woman who died after automotive plunged into Lake Ontario

A girl who died when the car she was in plunged into the icy Lake Ontario waters at Ashbridges Bay has been recognized by her household as a ravishing soul who got here to Canada from Albania in 2021.

First responders have been referred to as to the east-end park close to Lake Shore Boulevard and Woodbine Avenue at round 9:30 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 19, for reviews of a car within the water.

Paramedics later confirmed that six individuals had been taken to hospital and that considered one of them, a girl, was in vital situation. The remaining 5 individuals — 4 law enforcement officials and a male driver — suffered non-life-threatening accidents.

The girl, since recognized as 25-year-old Agnesa Shukulli, died within the hospital. A 23-year-old man from Oakville, who police stated was the driving force on the time of the incident, is now going through charges.

“Agnesa was a kind and beautiful soul who touched the hearts of everyone she met,” Kristian Pasku wrote in a GoFundMe. “She was a loving daughter, a caring sister, and a friend who made everyone feel special. Her smile could light up a room, and her warmth and kindness left a lasting impression on everyone lucky enough to know her.”

Relations say Shukulli immigrated to Canada from Albania in 2021 to hitch her sister. They’re within the strategy of shifting her physique to her homeland so she may be laid to relaxation.

“She came here with big dreams—dreams of creating a better life, helping her parents back in Albania, and building a future filled with love and hope,” Pasku stated. “We are reaching out to anyone who knew Agnesa, or even those who didn’t but want to help a family in need during this incredibly difficult time.”

Woman labored at East York bakery

A consultant for Serano Bakery, situated within the Pape Avenue and Danforth Avenue space in East York, confirmed that the 25-year-old woman was employed there.

“Agnesa was not only a dedicated colleague, but also a cherished friend who brought warmth, kindness and joy to everyone she met,” the assertion reads.

“During this incredibly difficult time, we want to support Agnesa’s family as they navigate this unimaginable tragedy.”

The bakery has additionally launched a GoFundMe to assist Shukulli’s household with prices.

“Our thoughts and prayers are with [her] loved ones.”

As of Thursday, greater than $65,000 has been raised, with a beforehand set objective of $50,000.
