Murder detectives are investigating a single-vehicle collision in Mississauga following a capturing at an industrial complicated within the metropolis.

Peel Regional Police stated the crash was reported simply earlier than 2 a.m. within the space of Dixie and Derry roads on Monday.

Paramedics who attended the scene stated they took a person in his 20s to hospital in life-threatening situation. He was later recognized as Gurvinder Singh, 24, of Caledon.

Talking on Monday, Const. Richard Chin stated the incident started with a capturing on the Halfway Boulevard, close to Innovator Crescent. The person was reportedly concerned in an altercation on the first scene and was shot earlier than he tried to flee.

Whereas he was driving away from the scene, he crashed, police stated. A coroner’s investigation will decide whether or not his demise was brought on by the crash or the capturing.

Dixie Street southbound was closed between Derry and Halfway on Monday morning because of the police investigation.
