Charlotte Bolton, a talented athlete in Canadian Para athletics, has earned her spot on the Paris 2024 Canadian Paralympic Team, marking her second time at the Paralympics. At just 21 years old, Bolton holds all three Canadian records in the F41 throwing events, which include shot put (9.05 metres), javelin (20.33 metres), and discus (29.65 metres). In the 2024 season, she has managed to improve her marks in both discus and shot put, demonstrating her ongoing growth and commitment to her sport.

Bolton made her first appearance at the Paralympics during the Tokyo 2020 Games, finishing sixth in both shot put and discus events. She continued to excel at the 2023 World Para Athletics Championships with two top-10 finishes-8th in discus and 9th in shot put. At the Santiago 2023 Parapan American Games, Charlotte claimed bronze in the Women’s Discus Throw F41 event, marking her first significant international medal. These accomplishments highlight her rapid rise within the international Para athletics community.

Before starting her Paralympic journey, Bolton competed at the World Dwarf Games in both 2013 and 2017 and took part in junior freestyle skiing championships in 2019. Currently, she is studying biology at York University. Her athletic career began when she transitioned from skiing to throwing events back in 2018 after being discovered during a search event for aspiring Paralympians.
