Fires have been noticed Sunday on the western shore of Lake Nipigon and at Flower Lake
THUNDER BAY — The Ministry of Pure Sources found two new forest fires in Northwestern Ontario on Sunday, however shortly put one among them out.
Thunder Bay district hearth # 19 occurred close to the shoreline of Flower Lake, about 27 kilometres southwest of the Freeway 17 and Freeway 11 junction at Shabaqua.
It was known as out at 0.1 hectares in dimension.
The second hearth within the district was listed as not beneath management at 0.5 hectares.
It was situated on the western shore of Lake Nipigon close to Caribou Island, about 18 kilometres east of Freeway 527.
As of Sunday night, there have been 10 energetic fires within the Northwest, eight of which have been being saved beneath remark.
The wildland hearth hazard is usually excessive, however there are remoted pockets of maximum hazard values between Thunder Bay and Quetico Provincial Park, and within the Kenora, Fort Frances and Woodland Caribou Provincial Park areas.
