THUNDER BAY — Ontario Provincial Police are admonishing drivers for travelling at excessive velocity after two incidents in Northwestern Ontario.
Over the weekend, police caught one motorist driving at 151 km/h in a 90 km/h zone close to Thunder Bay.
The person was charged with stunt driving, misplaced driving privileges for 30 days, and misplaced entry to his car for 14 days, after which impoundment charges should be paid.
In accordance with police, this motorist instructed the investigating officer that police couldn’t legally seize his driver’s licence.
The second incident occurred within the Dryden space, the place OPP recorded a car travelling at 143 km/h in a 90 km/h zone.
The operator was additionally charged with stunt driving.
A passenger within the car paid the value, as he was the registered proprietor, and was instructed it could be impounded for 14 days.
“These speeds are unacceptable, and endanger everybody on the freeway,” OPP said in a social media put up.
