It’s with profound disappointment that we announce the peaceable passing of Ronald David Coggin, 83, on February 4, 2025, in Thunder Bay, Ontario.

 

Ron was born on March 8, 1941, in Thunder Bay, Ontario. He graduated from King’s Enterprise School with a diploma in Enterprise Administration and devoted his profession to Thunder Bay Phone the place he labored for 30+ years. After retirement he loved driving taxi for Diamond Taxi and at all times had the funniest tales to share. Ron additionally met the love of his life Lucy in Thunder Bay, the place they construct a cheerful life collectively for 58 years. Ron was an avid golfer, bowler, and a loving household man. He particularly loved spending time along with his grandchildren. Ron additionally was a member of the Knights of Columbus the place he constructed many lifelong friendships and loved giving again to his group.

He’s survived by his spouse, Lucy Coggin; his brother, Brian; his kids, Rob (Stephanie) and Andrew (Monica); and his grandchildren, Chloe, Lili, Noah and Lucas. He was predeceased by his dad and mom, Eric and Mary Coggin.

The household needs to increase their heartfelt because of the workers on the Walford who helped look after Ron whereas his well being was declining. We might additionally prefer to thank the Thunder Bay Regional Well being Sciences Centre for his or her compassionate care throughout Ron’s stays, in addition to the workers at St. Joseph’s Hospital (ground 5 – South) and Southbridge Roseview Manor (ground 2 – Celeste Home).
