Adrienne Towegishig, a 35-year-old woman from Lengthy Lake #58 First Nation who was reported lacking Jan. 10, has been discovered lifeless.
On Sunday, shortly after 5 p.m., members of the Greenstone Ontario Provincial Police obtained details about a person discovered deceased within the First Nation.
On Thursday morning, police confirmed it was Towegishig.
“The investigation is continuous by the Greenstone OPP Crime Unit beneath the route of the OPP Legal Investigation Department, with help from the OPP North West Regional Help Group and OPP Forensic Identification Providers, at the side of the Workplace of the Chief Coroner and the Ontario Forensic Pathology Service,” the OPP stated in Thursday’s information launch.
Towegishig’s household described her as an outgoing one who was at all times smiling and laughing. She was the mom of eight kids.
Her household had been conducting searches for her in Thunder Bay, believing she might have been within the metropolis.
