Lorraine Marie Jeannine Verdenik, aged 82, handed away peacefully on January 3, 2025, in Thunder Bay, Ontario. Born on September 10, 1942, in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Lorraine, was the cherished daughter of Helene and Maurice Meunier. She was predeceased by William Dennis (Denny) Verdenik, her dad and mom, and her sister Theresa Zahara and brother Richard (Ricky) Meunier who held a particular place in her coronary heart.

Lorraine spent her youth in Winnipeg, Manitoba, shifting to the Thunder Bay space in 1970, the place she raised her household. She discovered pleasure in administering and training the YBC bowling program at Galaxy Lanes, introducing all her youngsters to bowling.

Lorraine’s life was a testomony to her unwavering dedication to household and her ardour for private progress. Lorraine is survived by her loving household, who will deeply miss her. She is survived by her sisters Louise Early of Level Nice, WV, Suzanne Gus of Surrey, BC, Gisele Cox of Winnipeg, MB, and her brother Charles Meunier (Beverly) of Winnipeg; her youngsters Keith Verdenik (Lynda), Michele Tanguay (Steve), Jeannine Verdenik (Lorne Clifford), and Len Verdenik (Anita); her grandchildren, affectionately often known as GMA or GGMA to Jonelle Armitage (Andy), Christopher Verdenik, Kate-Lyn Gatto (Dave), Chelsea Sanders, Chelsea Carr (Andrew), Mickey Nagy (Katherine Deschenes), Teyla and Ronon Verdenik; and her great-grandchildren James and Zenon Armitage, Lola Gatto, and Everett Carr.

Particular due to Liisa Larocque, who stepped in to offer ongoing help to Mother to assist her keep in her house at Chartwell Glacier Ridge as her well being declined, and to her pricey buddies, each new and previous, who frolicked along with her over the previous a number of months. Lorraine was quietly dedicated to her religion, and a memorial service to have a good time Lorraine’s life can be held on Saturday, January 11 at 1:00 pm at St. Joseph’s Heritage Chapel, celebrated by Rev. Ciaran Donnelly, with a reception within the Georgian Room to observe. In lieu of flowers, donations could also be made to the Thunder Bay Regional Well being Sciences Centre, St. Joseph’s Care Group, or the United Means of Thunder Bay in Lorraine’s reminiscence.

Lorraine’s legacy of kindness, dedication, and pleasure will stay within the hearts of all who knew her. She can be remembered with nice affection and admiration.
