Joseph Henry Caouette, resident of Atikokan, Ontario, handed away peacefully on the Atikokan Common Hospital, Prolonged Care Wing, with household and family members by his facet, January 23, 2025 on the age of 69. Henry was born in Baudette, Minnesota and spent his childhood and teenage years in Wet River the place he attended college. Henry moved to Atikokan to work on the Caland Ore Mine, and finally moved on and located his ardour for logging. Henry first gained employment via Nice Lakes, and later developed J. H. Caouette logging the place he loved a few years falling & skidding timber. After a leg harm, he attended Confederation Faculty to develop into an environmental engineer and graduated on the Dean’s Record. Henry labored for the Ontario Clear Water Company, the place he made life-long friendships, which later grew to become Northern Waters. Over the past a part of Henry’s profession, he adventured to the North Pole, Alert, Nunavut and retired with Nasittuq.

Henry completely loved searching, fishing, tenting, blueberry choosing, spending time with family and friends, and above all else joking round and making others snigger. He was a faithful member of the Moose lodge for a few years, liked weightlifting, having espresso along with his buddies and have become infamous for his pancakes. Henry took nice delight in all of his youngsters’s accomplishments, and he treasured all 6 of his grandchildren whom he liked greater than phrases can describe. Henry was by far probably the most mild, kindhearted man anybody may have the pleasure of assembly. Henry, and his attributes will probably be missed immensely by all.

Henry was married for 36 years to the love of his life, Colleen Gouliquer, who he constructed a household with. Henry is survived by his 4 youngsters Jamie Caouette (Shaina Loew), Karen Lusignan (Jon), Kristy Larocque (Jeremy), Anthony Caouette (Tyanna Southerland), in addition to his 6 grandchildren Kyra, Winter, Ryder, Emily, Aaron and Blakley. Henry can be survived by his 3 sisters Geraldine Blight (Irving), Debbie Plumridge, and Rosemarie Landry.

Henry is predeceased by his dad and mom Rena and Tony Caouette, and his little brother Randy Caouette.

A memorial service will probably be held on the Atikokan Royal Canadian Legion, Department 145, on Saturday, February 1st, 2025 at 1 pm with a luncheon to comply with. Brad Ricci will probably be officiating, who additionally married Henry and Colleen. Henry will probably be buried at Blue Cemetery in Blue Township the place he’ll be laid to relaxation along with his dad and mom at a later date. If desired, in lieu of presents or flowers, donations to the Atikokan Common Hospital Prolonged Care Wing could be vastly appreciated.
