HAVING HELD its annual common assembly (AGM) final week, the St Thomas Soccer Affiliation will quickly hear the information that it has been re-instated to the ranks of member associations of the Jamaica Soccer Federation (JFF).

In a press launch despatched in September, the JFF introduced the St Thomas FA had been suspended of their membership privileges, having failed to carry their AGM by a mandated August 31 deadline.

Former St Thomas FA president Wayne Thompson had defined the affiliation had failed to satisfy the deadline due to points with having their property audited, and promised the AGM could be held on October 26.

Main as much as their assembly, Thompson had determined towards working for re-election and stepped down from his function as president. He’ll now function certainly one of 4 administrators on the manager physique.

He mentioned the choice to step down was years in coming and was succeeded by his first vice-president Lascelles Logan.

With their affairs now so as, newly appointed president Logan mentioned the affiliation is awaiting an official response from the JFF stating their membership privileges had been re-instated.

Logan mentioned the affiliation had despatched a letter to the JFF concerning the matter however had but to obtain a response for an replace on the state of affairs.

“No, there was no updates within the matter,” Logan mentioned.

“A letter was despatched to the JFF from us, stating that the AGM was held and the brand new government physique is in place. We had despatched the letter via our guardian physique however we’ve not gotten any response from the JFF but.”

Nonetheless, JFF common secretary Dennis Chung mentioned the parish affiliation had been mechanically re-instated, having held their AGM.

Chung mentioned whereas no official communication had been despatched, the JFF has lifted the suspension and views the St Thomas FA as an lively member affiliation.

He mentioned the phrases of the suspension had said the parish affiliation could be re-instated as quickly as they have been capable of host their AGM.

“The phrases had said that, till their elections have been held, they might be suspended,” Chung defined.

“As soon as they held their elections, they’re positive. I would like to simply test on sending the response, however they’re positive.

“They have been mechanically re-instated, as a result of they went forward and held their elections,” he added.
