Officers responded to the scene within the space of Glendale Avenue and Glengarry Street on Tuesday night

On July 23 at 6:48 p.m., 1 District (St. Catharines / Thorold) uniform officers from the Niagara Regional Police Service (NRPS) responded to studies of a critical collision in St. Catharines.
Officers arrived on scene within the space of Glendale Avenue and Glengarry Street. The preliminary investigation decided {that a} 16-year-old male (St. Catharines) bicycle owner and a 2020 black Lincoln Aviator had collided.
Niagara Emergency Medical Providers paramedics have been assisted by St. Catharines Fireplace Service personnel in treating the 16-year-old male who was discovered to be in important situation on scene. The male was transported to an out of area hospital for additional care however died in hospital. The 45-year-old feminine (St. Catharines) driver of the Lincoln Aviator was not bodily injured.
Roads within the space have been closed for the investigation and reopened at roughly 2:56 a.m.
Detectives from the NRPS Collision Reconstruction Unit have been referred to as in to research and decide the trigger and circumstances main as much as the collision.
