An academic assistant (EA) at a St. Catharines, Ont., college has been arrested after police say he bodily assaulted a nine-year-old scholar.
The incident occurred on Dec. 17 at Saint Alfred Catholic Elementary College on Vine Avenue, stated Niagara Regional Police Service in a information launch.
A toddler was “concerned in a disturbance” in a classroom, once they have been moved to a different room by two EAs, stated police.
There, one of many EAs bodily assaulted the kid and used a blanket as a weapon, police stated.
The kid was not bodily injured.
Police stated they don’t seem to be revealing the age or gender of the kid to guard the kid’s identification.
The EA, a 28-year-old man, was arrested and charged with assault and assault with a weapon on Friday.
