Police say a restaurant within the Port Dalhousie space was the goal of an arson assault within the early hours this morning.

At round 3:22 a.m., 1 District (St. Catharines/Thorold) Niagara Regional Police Service say uniform officers responded to the realm of Lock Road and Lakeport Street in St. Catharines for a fireplace name.

The St. Catharines Fireplace Division was additionally on scene.

Investigation revealed that two unknown suspects approached a restaurant at this location and set it on fireplace, police mentioned in a launch.

The suspects have been final seen operating north on Lock Road earlier than stepping into in a black sedan on the intersection of Lock Road and Dalhousie Avenue.

Police mentioned the automobile continued southwest on Dalhousie Avenue.
