Ontario’s coroner has known as for an inquest into the loss of life of an Indigenous woman two and a half years after she died within the St. Catharines Hospital’s emergency room.
Heather Winterstein, 24, went to the ER with extreme again ache on Dec. 9, 2021.
Her mom informed CHCH Information that Heather was given Tylenol and despatched house.
The next day, Heather returned to hospital with extra ache and died there.
St. Catharines NDP MPP Jennie Stevens posted on social media that Heather’s loss of life was “tragic and entirely preventable.”
