Niagara police have recognized and charged the person answerable for a severe assault after an argument at a St. Catharines restaurant in July

Investigators say two males have been arguing on a patio on St. Paul Avenue between James Avenue and Backyard Park on July 10.

The suspect then stood up and repeatedly punched the seated sufferer within the face, knocking him to the bottom.

Police say the suspect and the group of individuals he had been sitting with left the patio.

Emergency crews arrived on the scene shortly earlier than 9 p.m. to search out the 60-year-old man affected by severe accidents.

Paramedics transported him to a neighborhood hospital, however he has since been launched.

Following practically two months of efforts to establish the suspect, police say an arrest was made on Saturday.

Craig Donald Clement, 38, of St. Catharines has been charged with one rely of assault inflicting bodily hurt.

Clement stays in custody awaiting a bail listening to scheduled for Monday.
