NEWS RELEASE
OLG

The Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation (OLG) is giving back to communities all over the province thanks to its players.

As part of the Wintario50 Community Contest, a campaign celebrating OLG’s 50-year commitment to supporting Ontario, over $1 million has been shared among all 26 United Way regions in Ontario.

This contest was launched during OLG’s 50th-anniversary celebrations and marked five decades of play, community support, and positive impact while honoring the lottery game that started it all – Wintario. Players who bought a Wintario50 lottery ticket could enter the contest for a chance to win a personal prize and nominate a United Way region for a shot at winning up to $250,000.

Thanks to the enthusiastic involvement from our players, every United Way region in Ontario received some funds, with two regions winning a grand prize of $250,000 each.
