The Norfolk County OPP is asking for the public’s assistance in finding stolen property, including landscaping equipment valued at $60,000, and identifying those behind these thefts.

Between Friday, November 21 and Monday, November 24, a black 2009 tandem-axle utility trailer with Ontario licence plate Z6569J was taken from an Upper Wellington Street location in Simcoe.

The trailer was filled with various landscaping tools worth around $60,000, according to police reports.

Norfolk OPP responded earlier this week to a report of vehicle theft on Burford-Delhi Townline Road near Teeterville.

Officers discovered that a black 2019 Chevrolet Duramax pickup truck with Ontario licence plate AYE 6847 had been stolen between 6:30 a. m. and 6 p. m. on Monday, November 24.

Just before 5:00 p. m. on Monday, Nov. 24 a male suspect entered a Cedar Street business in Simcoe, hid alcohol on himself, and walked out without paying for it. Norfolk County OPP hope the public can help identify this suspect who allegedly concealed alcohol on his person and left a Simcoe business without paying. Photo by SUBMITTED

The suspect is described as a Caucasian male with brown facial hair and was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt along with a black jacket during the incident. Police believe he may have also been involved in another similar incident around 10:30 a. m. on Friday, Nov. 14.

The investigations are still ongoing and police are urging anyone with information to contact Norfolk OPP at 1-888-310-1122. You can also provide tips anonymously by calling Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 or visiting helpsolvecrime. com where you could earn up to $2,000 as a cash reward.
