The Norfolk County OPP is asking for the public’s assistance in finding stolen property, including landscaping equipment valued at $60,000, and identifying those behind these thefts.
Between Friday, November 21 and Monday, November 24, a black 2009 tandem-axle utility trailer with Ontario licence plate Z6569J was taken from an Upper Wellington Street location in Simcoe.
The trailer was filled with various landscaping tools worth around $60,000, according to police reports.
Norfolk OPP responded earlier this week to a report of vehicle theft on Burford-Delhi Townline Road near Teeterville.
Officers discovered that a black 2019 Chevrolet Duramax pickup truck with Ontario licence plate AYE 6847 had been stolen between 6:30 a. m. and 6 p. m. on Monday, November 24.
Just before 5:00 p. m. on Monday, Nov. 24 a male suspect entered a Cedar Street business in Simcoe, hid alcohol on himself, and walked out without paying for it. The suspect is described as a Caucasian male with brown facial hair and was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt along with a black jacket during the incident. Police believe he may have also been involved in another similar incident around 10:30 a. m. on Friday, Nov. 14.
