An Ontario woman is dealing with severe charges after police allege she pretended to be a registered nurse at a number of Simcoe County amenities, regardless of being unqualified.
Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) say Hailey Roberts, 33, of Tiny Township, labored as a nurse, conducting full nursing duties, at a number of well being care amenities, together with long-term care houses, between September 2020 and April 2024.
“To obtain employment, the individual falsified employment applications, certificates, resumes, reference checks and police checks by modifying the name to resemble active nurses with good standings,” Huronia West OPP acknowledged in a Friday launch.
Police say Roberts turned herself in on Sunday.
She faces 19 charges, together with identification fraud and assault with a weapon.
Roberts has been held for a bail listening to that may happen in Barrie.
