Police find illegal weapons, drugs, and stolen goods during Mc Dowell Road home raid

A Simcoe man, age 29, is facing multiple charges after a search took place on December 4 at a residence on Mc Dowell Road.

According to provincial police, the search yielded stolen items, prohibited weapons, replica firearms, Canadian cash, some suspected illegal drugs, and drug-related equipment. The total value of the seized items is estimated at $15,000.
The individual has been charged with two counts of possession of a firearm or ammunition while under a prohibition order; two counts of possession of a dangerous weapon; two counts of possession of stolen property valued under $5,000; three counts related to possessing proceeds from crime under $5,000; two counts for possession with intent to distribute; two counts regarding trafficking property obtained through crime; disobeying a court order; and failing to comply with a release condition.

The accused remains in custody and is set to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Simcoe on December 9.
The operation was carried out by the OPP Tactics and Rescue Unit along with members from the Haldimand-Norfolk Community Street Crimes Unit.
