Residents of Wasaga Beach and Midland face charges following warrants carried out this week
Two individuals have been charged after police confiscated drugs, a vehicle, and cash while executing search warrants in Simcoe County.
This past Monday and Tuesday, law enforcement executed warrants at multiple locations across the county. Officers seized 239 grams of suspected cocaine, $6,040 in Canadian cash, a 2020 Dodge Ram 2500, drug trafficking equipment/packaging, and mobile phones, according to Orillia OPP in a news release.
A 49-year-old man from Wasaga Beach has been charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking (cocaine), possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000 and possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000.
A 26-year-old man from Midland has been charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking (cocaine) and possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000.
The names of those accused have not been disclosed.
