A train conductor and engineer were hospitalized with minor injuries after a crash east of Sarnia on Monday morning.

Middlesex OPP, Middlesex-London Emergency Medical Services, and Kerwood volunteer firefighters were called to Kerwood Road, between Napperton and Katesville Drives, around 7:45 a. m.

According to police, a Canadian National (CN) train hit a transport truck.

The driver of the transport truck was unharmed.

Authorities asked drivers to steer clear of the area while OPP and CN Police looked into the accident.

*West Region OPP reported that Kerwood Road between Napperton Drive and Katesville Drive reopened to traffic at 12:10 a. m. on Tuesday, June 30.
