Sarnia retiree celebrates $100K ENCORE win

A retired Sarnia man, who has been enjoying the lottery for the previous 40 years, is celebrating a $100,000 ENCORE win.

The Ontario Lottery and Gaming Company (OLG) stated John McClelland matched the final six of seven ENCORE numbers in actual order within the August 21, 2024 LOTTO 6/49 draw.

McClelland stated he is thrilled.

“I used to be on the retailer once I determined to examine my ticket on the ticket checker. I will need to have scanned it 4 or 5 occasions as I repeated, to myself, ‘This can’t be actual!’ I then had the ticket validated on the lottery terminal. I used to be in awe as that little blue machine lit up, as did my eyes,” stated McClelland whereas choosing up his winnings on the OLG prize centre in Toronto. “My legs grew to become weak, and I may really feel my blood strain rising. It was an unreal second.” “I shared the information with my associate and all she may say was, ‘No way!’ Successful certain put a smile on each of our faces. Even my canine was joyful,” he laughed. “This win is a blessing and has been a tremendous expertise. Saying I really feel fortunate is an understatement! I can lastly say, ‘I, John, am a lottery winner!'”

In the interim, he plans to take a position and save his winnings. ENCORE presents 22 methods to win and might be performed along with most lottery video games for an additional $1.

There are two ENCORE attracts day-after-day. The successful ticket was bought at Wellington Comfort on Wellington Road in Sarnia.
