Sarnia hearth officers say careless smoking induced a hearth to spark Tuesday morning on the Bluewater Motel on London Line.
Members of the Sarnia Police Service, Sarnia Fireplace Rescue and Lambton EMS responded to the constructing simply after 9:30 a.m. for studies of a construction hearth.
Public Training Officer Mike Otis stated the harm was contained to at least one unit as firefighters have been fast to stop the flames from spreading to adjoining items.
Sarnia Fireplace stated everybody made it out of the constructing safely and no accidents have been reported.
Otis stated the harm estimate is roughly $50,000.
