A 33-year-old man is charged in an assault Thursday morning in Sarnia.
Metropolis police had been known as to a disturbance at a house on Berkshire Highway at round 8:20 a.m.
It is alleged a person in his early 50s was attacked by a person armed with a knife and struck a number of occasions. Police stated the sufferer managed to flee the house and name for assist.
He was taken to hospital for remedy of non-life threatening accidents.
Darren Maillet was arrested shortly after and charged with assault with a weapon and assault inflicting bodily hurt.
He was remanded into custody.
