Excellent charges in opposition to a Sarnia police officer have been withdrawn after he signed a peace bond.
Cst. Tim VanCowenberg was initially charged in February with assault, forcible confinement and mischief.
An extra cost of breach of recognizance was laid in opposition to VanCowenberg in March.
The Ontario Court docket of Justice instructed Sarnia Information Right now the excellent charges have been withdrawn on August 23, 2024.
