The identification of the victims will not be released until family members can be notified
OPP is looking into a deadly house fire in Renfrew after two bodies were found inside the home once the flames were put out.
The incident occurred on Monday, November 15, at 1 p. m. on Fortington Street, near the downtown area.
Authorities say they are treating the fire as suspicious and the Ontario Fire Marshal’s Office is present to investigate.
The Office of the Chief Coroner and the Ontario Forensic Pathology Service are involved, and a post mortem examination is set for today at Ottawa General Hospital.
The identification of the victims will not be released until family members can be notified.
The Renfrew and Killaloe OPP Crime Units, along with the OPP Forensic Identification Services Unit and the East Region Support Team are assisting with this investigation under the guidance of the OPP Criminal Investigation Branch.
