Heavy rains are anticipated until Thursday night throughout a broad region of western Quebec and part of eastern Ontario.

Environment Canada has kept a rainfall warning that extends from Ontario’s Bruce Peninsula to areas north of Montreal, covering Maniwaki, Algonquin Park, and Deep River.

You can expect between 40 and 60 millimeters of rain.

The rain should start overnight and wrap up Thursday morning in eastern Ontario. The heaviest rains in western Quebec are expected only on Thursday.

“Heavy downpours can cause flash floods and water pooling on roads,” the warning reads.
