Saugeen Shores Police say they’re investigating a hearth and a dying in Port Elgin.
They are saying in an announcement Thursday (Feb 6) night, Saugeen Shores police, in partnership with the Workplace of the Ontario Fireplace Marshall, the Workplace of the Chief Coroner of Ontario and the Saugeen Shores Fireplace Division are investigating.
Police say at roughly 11:30 a.m police and firefighters had been alerted to attainable home fireplace at a residence in Port Elgin.
Emergency Providers arrived on scene and confirmed there was a working fireplace on the residence. Members of the Saugeen Shores Fireplace Division shortly extinguished the fireplace.
They are saying firefighters situated a male with out important indicators. He was pronounced lifeless on the scene.
Police say this investigation is ongoing. They didn’t specify the place in Port Elgin the fireplace occurred.
