Virtually $18 million in provincial funding has been permitted for a brand new college in Port Elgin.
The Ministry of Training introduced it’s offering $17.8 million in Capital Priorities Program funding to the Bluewater District College Board (BWDSB) for an extra college in Port Elgin. The brand new college is in response to an software from the board to accommodate pupil enrolment strain in Saugeen Shores.
The varsity shall be open to 409 pupils from junior kindergarten to Grade 6 and can complement Northport Elementary College and Port Elgin-Saugeen Central College. The board consulted with group and municipal companions, earlier than it submitted a enterprise case to the province to fund an extra college.
