Gunfire Outside Pickering Restaurant Injures Two

Two people are currently in the hospital after shots were fired outside a restaurant in Pickering early on Saturday morning.

Durham Regional Police responded to the area of Liverpool Road and Kingston Road, close to Moxies restaurant around 1 a. m.

The two victims were found with serious injuries and were taken to a hospital. According to police, they are now in stable condition.

Authorities haven’t released information about the victims, such as their ages, gender, or where they live.

Investigators are describing the suspect as a brown man with a light complexion. He stands about six feet tall with a medium to heavy build. He was last seen wearing a jersey-style shirt and fleeing the scene in a dark-colored sedan.

At this point, officers have not indicated what led to the shooting or if it was targeted.

The police are urging anyone who was in the area at that time and may have cellphone or dashcam footage to reach out to West Division investigators at 1-888-579-1520 ext. 1905.
