Authorities report that a car parked in a Pickering driveway was intentionally set on fire on December 23, and they are seeking help from the community to identify a suspect seen on video.
The footage captures a man approaching the driveway of a residence at Pisces Trail and Burkholder Drive in Pickering around 1:20 a. m. on December 23, igniting a fire on an unoccupied vehicle before leaving the scene.
No individuals sustained any injuries during the incident.
The suspect is described as approximately 6 feet tall and between 30 and 40 years old. He was wearing a hooded sweatshirt, track pants, and black/white Jordan shoes.
Anyone who was in this vicinity between 12:30 a. m. and 2 a. m. on Tuesday, December 23, and has any cellphone, dash cam, or surveillance footage is encouraged to reach out to the police. Additionally, anyone who can recognize the suspect or has details about this event is asked to contact D/Cst.
