The Canadian Meals Inspection Company (CFIA) launched a press release on Wednesday relating to the investigation, after numerous plant-based milks from Silk and Nice Worth manufacturers had been recalled on July 8.
The company says the contamination occurred on a devoted manufacturing line which has now been utterly disassembled.
“Danone Canada and Joriki Inc. (Pickering) have been fully engaged in the ongoing food safety investigation to determine the source of the contamination and are implementing corrective measures including enhanced safety and production protocols,” the CFIA mentioned.
