Ontario Development Information workers author

Development is underway on the Pickering Heritage & Group Centre (PHCC), to convey a museum, library, and neighborhood centre collectively.

Development on the 44,000 sq. ft. facility on the higher website of the Pickering Museum Village at 2365 sixth Concession Street, is being carried out by J.R. Certus Development Co. Ltd., and is anticipated to be accomplished by early 2026.

Pickering building Heritage Community centre The design is a collaborative effort between metropolis workers, Hariri Pontarini Architects, and neighborhood members who shared enter.

The full undertaking price is estimated at $64.7 million and at full build-out, the PHCC will embody:

an exhibit gallery
program room
multi-purpose corridor with a stage
kitchen appropriate for public packages
collections storage
present store and low bar
out of doors program areas

1737499948 376 Pickering building Heritage Community centreTo assist the development of the brand new facility, town acquired $16.5 million in funding – $12.5 million from Infrastructure Canada’s Inexperienced & Inclusive Group Buildings Program and $4 million from the Division of Canadian Heritage’s Canada Cultural Areas Fund.
