A high-rise development in Pickering aims to accommodate over 1,400 residents across four towers, each reaching 35 storeys. This project will be showcased during a public open house on Wednesday at the Chestnut Hill Developments Recreation Complex.
Created by BDP Quadrangle, the Biglieri Group’s initiative at 1095 Kingston Road is set to house 1,429 people along the upcoming Durham-Scarborough rapid transit line. It’s located at the southwest corner of Kingston Road and Dixie Road and is just a short distance from another significant development at 705 Kingston Road, which will feature five towers and bring in 1,748 new residents.
There are nearly six projects underway or planned along this corridor, with many featuring residential towers soaring above 50 storeys.
The meeting scheduled for September 17 will occur in the Banquet Hall (East Salon) of the recreation complex from 6:30 p. m. to 8:30 p. m. City staff have clarified that this isn’t a ‘drop-in’ event; attendees need to arrive by 7 p. m. if they want to give feedback on the project in person.
