The Dorsay Community & Heritage Centre, situated at the top of the Pickering Museum Village, is nearing completion for its spring opening. This facility will combine a museum, library, and community center into one lively space.

This $65 million project represents Pickering’s first new community center in many years, providing programs, services, and experiences for residents and visitors of all ages.

With its unique design and beautiful location, the Dorsay Community & Heritage Centre will be a perfect place for weddings, celebrations, corporate events, and other significant occasions. It will replace the aging Greenwood community center building that is set to be demolished later this year.

Key features of the venue include a banquet hall with a stage, an express library kiosk, a local history experience center, a central courtyard and garden area, a gift shop, a catering kitchen, and fully accessible event spaces. Operators are already scheduling wedding packages along with more intimate ceremony options within Pickering Museum Village.

This new facility will act as a central point for future residents of growing neighborhoods in north Pickering while fostering community connections and cultural activities in the area.

Dorsay Development Corporation entered into a $1 million naming rights agreement last year that lasts 15 years.
