For the third time in simply over per week, police in Peterborough, Ont., have made an arrest associated to an incident of intimate companion violence.

The most recent got here round 1 a.m. Friday when officers responded to a reported disturbance within the space of Cameron Avenue and Erskine Avenue.

Officers discovered a person reportedly pulled a lady down, struck her after which locked a door to stop her from leaving.

Police say the suspect was nonetheless within the house when officers arrived.

The investigation led to the arrest of a 38-year-old man from Peterborough who was charged with forcible confinement, assault (spousal), and failure to adjust to a probation order to maintain the peace and be of fine behaviour.

He was held in custody and can seem in courtroom later Friday. His title isn’t being launched to guard the identification of the sufferer.

Different current incidents of intimate companion violence concerned a reported taking pictures on the Brock Towers residence on Saturday that led to a person being arrested on a number of counts of tried homicide.
