A former Peterborough County warden and a number of musicians can be among the many 10 inductees for the Peterborough and District Pathway of Fame this September.

On Tuesday, the not-for-profit group introduced the category of 2024, which honours residents and people within the humanities and humanities. Since 1998, every inductee has a stone marker with their title positioned on the Pathway of Fame at Del Crary Park in downtown Peterborough.

A newly appointed residents committee critiques all public nominations for inductees and offers suggestions for the Pathway of Fame.

This 12 months’s induction ceremony is scheduled for Tuesday, Sept. 10 at 7 p.m. on the Showplace Efficiency Centre on George Avenue North. It marks the primary time the occasion has been held on a weeknight.

Historically the occasion has been held the primary Saturday following the Labour Day weekend. The occasion is free and open to the general public
