A 61-year-old Peterborough man is deceased following a head-on collision on Freeway 7 close to Tweed on Monday morning (January 13).
Shortly after 10 a.m on Monday, officers with Central Hastings Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) and members of the Tweed Fireplace Division and Hastings Quinte Paramedic Service responded to the crash close to Flinton Street, northeast of Tweed.
A automobile and tractor trailer had collided head-on, with the driving force of the automobile ejected from his car.

Regardless of life-saving efforts by paramedics, a 61-year-old Peterborough man pronounced deceased on the scene.
