Two seniors had been rushed to hospital after being struck by a pickup truck within the village of Lakefield, Ont., on Monday night.
The Peterborough Police Service says the collision occurred round 5 p.m. on the intersection of Queen and Concession streets.
An 81 year-old woman and an 86-year previous man had been each transported by paramedics to the Peterborough Regional Well being Centre.
Police say the lady was later airlifted to a Toronto hospital.
The roadway was closed for over 4 hours as police investigated.
