One individual is in custody, and authorities are on the lookout for four more after a man was fatally stabbed in Peterborough early Sunday morning.
According to investigators, a man and another person were walking near Monaghan Road and Cameron Street when they had an altercation with five youths around 2 a. m. in a parking lot.
During this confrontation, the man was stabbed before the group of youths ran away. The 25-year-old victim was taken to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Police, aided by K9 units and an OPP helicopter, conducted a search of the area for the suspects.
Currently, one person is in custody while investigators are looking for four other males who are all thought to be under 18 years old.
