Ontario Provincial Police are investigating after teenager was struck and killed by a van in a rural space north of Kingston on Saturday afternoon.
Police say the crash occurred at roughly 5:30 p.m. on Rosedale Highway in South Frontenac Township.
An investigation discovered a “full dimension” van struck a 15-year-old boy. He was pronounced deceased on the scene.
The driving force remained on the scene and spoke to police, an OPP spokesperson stated in an e mail.
Police have closed Rosedale Highway between Alton Highway East and Freeman Highway. An investigation is anticipated to proceed for a number of hours.
Police are asking the general public to keep away from the realm.
The crash website is situated roughly 30 kilometres north of Kingston.
