Ottawa firefighters have contained a fireplace at a seniors’ dwelling in Richmond.
Calls to 9-1-1 reported smoke seen from one of many rooms of the constructing on Perth Avenue close to Tarryn Terrace at round 7:11 p.m.
There are not any hydrants within the space, so water was shuttled in to assist combat the fireplace. It was declared underneath management by 8:06 p.m.
Two searches of the residence discovered nobody inside. An OC Transpo bus was dropped at the scene to maintain residents heat whereas firefighters handled the blaze.
The hearth was extinguished and did not unfold, Ottawa Fireplace Companies says.
Ottawa paramedics mentioned nobody was reported damage.
