Three former hospital workers have been charged following investigations into unrelated alleged breach of affected person privateness incidents that passed off over the course of final yr in numerous components of the province, in response to the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP).

Police say the workers had allegedly accessed data that was not a part of their circle of care, accessed extra data than that required to finish their job, or accessed data after their position within the affected person’s care was completed.
The three people are going through charges beneath the Private Well being Data Safety Act (PHIPA).
