An 18-year-old Toronto man is going through charges after allegedly making a whole bunch of threats in the direction of a medical clinic working within the Ottawa suburb of Orléans.
The Ottawa Police Service says it responded to a name within the 1200 block of Place d’Orléans Boulevard on Oct. 21 for threats of violence obtained by a medical clinic.
“The clinic took the threats very critically and closed, sending all workers residence,” police stated, including it “opened the next day with added safety measures in place.”
Police stated over the following week, the clinic continued to obtain “upwards of over 300 threats by e-mail or fax.”
Police say investigators have been in a position to establish the suspect, and with the help of the Toronto Police Service the person was arrested.
The suspect is going through charges of uttering threats, harassment by threatening conduct, mischief beneath $5,000, mischief over $5,000, tried fraud and uttering a solid doc.
