Atmosphere Canada says a rainfall warning bringing 50 to 100 millimetres of rain is in impact for jap Ontario and Ottawa beginning Thursday evening.


The climate company requires heavy rain, at occasions, via Friday. 


“A low stress system interacting with the remnants of Tropical Storm Debby is predicted to present heavy rainfall for jap Ontario tonight via Friday. Rain will taper off Friday evening,” says the climate company on its web site.

Tropical Storm Debby continued to swirl over Georgia and Carolinas on Wednesday. Some coastal cities have acquired greater than 30 cm of rain.


“Even with out Debby, the system would’ve introduced us some rain tomorrow,” David Phillips, senior climatologist for Atmosphere Canada, advised Ontario Chronicle Ottawa Thursday.


“However now with the abundance of precipitation or moisture from Debby, we will see important rain.”


Phillips says the heavier rain is predicted tomorrow, noting that Friday’s heavy downpours might be record-breaking.

“Ottawa is used to tornadoes, however we do not typically see remnants of hurricanes within the Ottawa space,” Phillips added.
